Flight to Brum was delayed a bit Friday night and two flights around the same time as ours were cancelled because of the weather which was a bit unerving. Met up with Anne and Katy who were heading off to Liverpool for the weekend. Trip over was ok when we got going but coming in to land was a bit jolty. Landing itself was superb though.

Air hostesses were both foreign and spoke with broken English but their goodbye in Manx at the end sounded perfect! It was a good flight and good service again from Euromanx.

Hired a Ford focus Estate! Not sure why I went for an estate, could have had a Vauxhall Astra Hatchback but hey ho. The Focus is good to drive and only done just over 1,000 miles. Hired it through Enterprise again as they sem to be pretty reasonable and friendly to deal with. £9.00 a day extra to reduce excess for damages from £600 to something like £50.

Trip down to Brum was quick despite the weather and managed to get a Balti in before turning in. 10 pin bowling for Sarah’s birthday tomorrow.

It’s been a busy week and have neglected the blog a little. We’re off to Birmingham tomorrow night to head back to Birmingham for Sarah’s Birthday, Nanny Gallies Birthday and Mothers Day. Getting a late flight to Liverpool tomorrow night and hiring a car through enterprise and driving down to Birmingham. Expecting a Ford Focus or a Vauxhall Astra so should be good for a change.
