Isle News had a sudden traffic spike yesterday, doubling the normal daily traffic volume for the site.
Digging a little deeper it seems an image of Sharon Osborne, linked to an archived article, hit first page in the Yahoo image search results.
Not the kind of targeted traffic I was looking for but just goes to show what a correctly titled image can do for your search performance. Ironically it isn’t even Sharon Osborne in the pic but a Sharon Osborne lookalike but hey ho, that’s for Yahoo to work out.
