Day off work

I found the bump back down to earth and return to work after the wedding and honeymoon a bit severe so decided to take a well earned break. I’ve got three days off this week and hopefully will get as much done tomorrow as I’ve done today. I started off trying to sort out my car tax, insurance, parking permit, ownership and parking tickets. It never rains! Didn’t have the complete paperwork needed as my driving license isn’t suitable address confirmation for the government who issue them! Anyway, ours is not to reason why… Got home and ordered our oil, around £450 for 900 litres!! Our last order for the same amount last May was £350 odd! Thought it was quite ironic that Total’s advert in the yellow pages said “customers warm to our low prices….” Crazy.. so I chopped up some wood that has been lying in the garden so we can have a few fires off the back of it.

I then made the foundations for a new cover for our gas tanks. I just need to nip to B&Q for some 2×2 and some screws and it will be job well done. Next I sorted out a carpet cleaner for our staircase and landing carpets. I spoke to Phil at Sparkles and he said he’ll be round at 8.30 tomorrow morning. Can’t beat service like that!

This was followed by doing some marketing work for an Isle of Man customer for CREATE. which took me up until lunch. Marketing work with CREATE. is really starting to pick up which is really rewarding. Just got to get our site sorted!! Don came home for lunch which was a salad, boiled egg and posh hams to try and get the healthy living started. (Gelling’s Manx free range eggs too!)

This afternoon was more CREATE. work and painting the hallway. all in all a really good day and I’m now a bit hyper. Not sure if that’s the busy day or paint fumes! Fish and chips for tea if I can sit still long enough…
